BALI MARKET

How to sell safely on BaliMarket and avoid scams

4 min read

Write an ad that sells

Use clear daylight photos from several angles, an honest title, and a description with the key details: brand, age, condition, and reason for selling. Set a fair price by checking similar listings. Honest, well-photographed ads sell far faster.

Add your WhatsApp so buyers can reach you instantly when you post your ad.

Meet buyers safely

Arrange to meet in a public, well-lit place during the day. Bring a friend for higher-value items. Let the buyer inspect the item and accept cash or confirm the transfer landed in your account before handing anything over.

Trust your instincts — if a buyer pressures you or the situation feels off, walk away.

Common scams to avoid

Be wary of buyers who "overpay" and ask for a refund of the difference, who want to pay with a suspicious link or screenshot of a transfer, or who insist on shipping before payment clears. Never share one-time codes (OTP) sent to your phone.

If something looks wrong, report the listing or user and our team will review it.
